Animal/Wildlife

Native Wildlife Rescue Inc.
We receive sick, injured or orphaned wildlife only. We are not permitted to trap healthy animals that some people consider a nuisance. We are available to consult with people on ways of getting the critters to leave on their own. We are always available for advice in dealing with wildlife. We will not tell you how to feed and care for wildlife, which is illegal in the Common-wealth of Virginia without a license. Native Wildlife Rescue is a voluntarily staffed 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are welcome. We have state and federal permits for wildlife rehabilitation.

Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL)
At RAWL, our mission is to ensure that no animal is left in a situation of neglect, danger, hunger or abuse. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing Rappahannock County’s homeless dogs and to helping pets stay in loving homes. Through our efforts, we cultivate within our community respect, awareness, education and support for animals’ needs, fostering positive interactions between people and their pets. Our services include adoptions, reuniting lost pets and their owners, spay and neuter assistance, and rabies clinics every spring and fall. (Located on the site of the Rappahannock County Landfill.)
