Community Services & Nonprofits Land Conservation Krebser Fund for Rappahannock County Conservation Mission: To conserve critical conservation lands in Rappahannock County by assisting private landowners to take voluntary measures to conserve their land. The fund assists landowners by helping defray the initial costs of placing conservation easements on their land. It also works closely with other nonprofit and county conservation programs and provides matching funds for land conservation grants, purchases of at-risk conservation properties and purchases of easements. Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) Mission: Promoting and protecting the Virginia Piedmont region’s ecological and natural resources. Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA) Dedicated to keeping Rappahannock County scenic and rural, RCCA educates the community about the value of conservation easements and land conservation. RCCA holds myriad public events, such as tax credit seminars and informational gatherings for prospective easement donors to help landowners make informed decisions about long-term options for their land.
